We were at the hospital. Vraju stripped down to the hospital gown. Dr Price came in and answered many of Vraju’s questions. All the details about where she’s going to cut and how she’s going to have to weed through the healthy tissue to get to the tumor, and if it was too dangerous to cut, she wouldn’t do that. I tied Sri Govinda’s brahmin thread on his wrist and kept Srila Prabhupada’s voice singing next to him on his phone.

Just as he was being wheeled out, I recited the Nrsimha Kavacha prayers. Goodness, he was just about to go under, and I really hung on to each word in Sanskrit. Rupa Prabhu and Vraju were almost laughing - the prayers just continued - they were really long!! I was impressed that the nurses stayed patiently there and waited for me to finish completely. They didn’t understand what I was doing, haha, but they were respectful.
